Selecting a Competent Roofing Contractor
Note:This publication was originally the work item known as the Yellow Book, however during the drafting of the document it became clear that the final size of the document would be better suited as an information sheet rather than a normal Code of Practise booklet.
It is essential that anyone wishing to have roof work carried out ensures that the company, or persons, selected to undertake the work are competent to do so. In many cases, this is a legal requirement.
This information sheet gives practical advice on how to select Contractors who are :
- capable of providing a high quality service;
- able to carry the work in accordance with current British or other accredited Industry Standards and
- able to carry out the work in a safe manner.
